What to Expect
Wet and wild banana boat rides in Myrtle Beach are many people’s favorite attraction! Express Watersports boasts the longest ride in Myrtle Beach with a full 35 minute ride. Ocean too rough? No problem. In addition to ocean riding, we have access to the smooth waters of the Inlet for your comfort. Get wet and have a blast! We will stop and dolphin watch if any are nearby and look for sea turtles.

Disclaimer
You will get wet! Guests should be prepared to fall off. There are ways to prevent falling off. Ask your Captain! Guests should be physically able to pull themselves back up on the Banana Boat. Captain will assist customers if there having trouble. Everyone will be wearing life jackets.
It is strongly recommended that guests wear swimming attire .
Please note that each activity must meet a minimum number of participants.
Please note that to participate, guests must be a minimum of 5 years of age and not exceed 250 pounds. Guests will be required to sign a waiver to participate.
***Note: Women who are pregnant may not participate. Guests with heart, lung, or back problems may not participate. Guests who have been drinking alcohol or under the influence of drugs may not participate*****

Do we need a reservation for the banana boat rides at Express Watersports?
Yes. Reservations are recommended. Reservations can be made online or by calling 843-357-7777.
All reservations must arrive 30 minutes before departure time so that we may check your group in.
We do take walk-ins, as we have 2 banana boats carrying 6 passengers each. The U. S. Coast Guard limits our passenger load to 6 on each banana boat.
What is the cancellation policy?
We require 48 hours notice of cancellation in order for us to refund you. If you cancel within 48 hours or are a 'No Show' you will be charged the the full amount.
Do you have restrooms?
Yes. Express Watersports is a full service watersports center. We have restrooms, showers and changing rooms for use after your banana boat ride.
Where do we park?
We have free parking at our watersports center. Please lock all valuables in your car.
What about weather conditions in Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet?
Weather conditions come and go in Myrtle Beach. The Captain may either cancel or delay a trip if weather conditions are unfavorable. Rain squalls usually move through quickly. If the Captain cancels the trip there is no charge. If you are able to reschedule we will try again next available time, or, if you prefer, we will give you a full refund.
Do we sign waivers?
Waivers are required. If the participant is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian is required to sign for the minor.

Will you fall off?
Guests may be in the water. You will be wearing a life jacket which will keep you safely afloat.
What if I do not know how to swim?
We advise our guests to feel comfortable in the water. You will be wearing a life jacket at all times. It is very likely you will fall into the water, but your life jacket will keep you safely afloat. Guests should have enough strength to pull themselves back on to the banana boat/jet skit.
If I fall off, how do I get back on?
The Captain will stop, turn around and will assist you in climbing up on the jet ski and then jumping back on the banana boat.
Will I get wet?
Yes, very wet! It’s all part of the ride.
Do we wear shoes or flip flops?
We recommend you wear some type of shoes to the dock and then remove them on our private dock to board the banana boat.
Should I wear jewelry?
Because of the nature of the ride, jewelry can loosen and be lost.
How many can ride at one time?
6 passengers on 1 banana. With 2 banana boats we can take a total of 12 guests at one time.
Do we have sharks and alligators?
We rarely ever see sharks or alligators, as alligators typically never inhabit saltwater.
Do you rent goggles?
Yes. Individual google rentals are $1.00. These prevent sea spray from getting into your eyes and are highly recommended.
Do you go into the ocean?
Yes. All trips go into the ocean if sea conditions are good and time allows. Ask your Captain for the latest conditions.

Can my family have a private banana boat trip?
Yes. You can reserve a banana boat for your family. A private trip is (6) paid seats. Please call us at 843-357-777 for more information.

What is your season for banana boat rides?
Express Watersports operates banana boat rides from March – October.
Can I bring my cell phone?
No, we do not allow cell phones for the duration of your banana boat ride. We ask that you lock them up in your vehicle while you are on the water.
