The water’s getting cooler and the sunset’s get earlier, but the fun’s still going on strong here at Express Watersports! This time of year would be the perfect opportunity to come out and explore Murrells Inlet via Kayak or Pontoon before things get colder. There’s nothing quite like a crisp breeze to rejuvenate you as you paddle through the Inlet on a paddleboard or kayak!
This time of year, we commonly get asked if we will be closing for the remainder of the year as the weather gets chilly and we prepare for our four weeks of South Carolina Winter. The short answer is no, we don’t close for the year! What you may be seeing though is a shift in our activities and hours. At the time of writing this, we’re here from 10am til 5pm Monday-Saturday with Sundays being closed to give the rest of the crew a breather after an action-packed summer season! These shortened hours also mean shortened offerings to get out on the water. Our Jet Skis, Banana Boats, and Parasailing is already all wrapped up for the year, but there’s still plenty of time in the day to rent a pontoon boat for a half day! Kayaking and Paddleboarding is very dependent on the weather this time of year, so it’s best to give us a call @ (843) 357-7777 before making the drive down to ensure conditions are working in your favor. Lastly, our cruises are finishing out their seasonal run soon! If you’re wanting to Adventure out with the Dolphins or enjoy the sunset and see the Hunter’s Moon, you’re running out of time!
For our Divers, your season is coming to an end as well! Our final dive of the season is scheduled for Halloween, 10/31! Seats are filling up, so be sure to get onboard before it’s too late! November is also the perfect time to bring your gear in for service to make sure everything is squared away before your next big trip to the Virgin Islands, Caribbean, and beyond! It’s wise to get your BCDs and Regulators serviced at least once a year to ensure your equipment is in tip-top condition! Tanks with a hydrostatic test date of 2022 will also need to be redone in 2027, as well as visuals done in 2025 are now overdue. Not sure if your tanks are within these dates, or unsure how to read them? Bring it on by and we’ll happily show you what to look for!
Happy Fall, Y’all!
