Do we need a reservation for the Sunset Cruise at Express Watersports?
Yes, reservations are required. Reservations can be made online or by calling 843-357-7777.
All reservations must arrive 30 minutes before departure time so that we may check your group in. At the time of departure if seats are available, we can take walk-ins. If no seats are available, walk-ins will have to wait until the next scheduled departure, as the US Coast Guard limits our passenger load.
What is the cancellation policy?
We require 48 hours notice of cancellation in order for us to refund you. If you cancel within 48 hours, or you are a 'No Show' you will be charged for the full amount.
Do you have restrooms?
Yes. Express Watersports is a full service watersports center. We have restrooms at our location.
Is there a bathroom on board?
There is a full size bathroom on board the 46' Newton snd the 38' Catamaran. A toilet is available on the 31' Seaquest upon demand.
Where do we park?
Express Watersports has free parking at our watersports center. No parking meters, no hassles. Please lock all valuables in your car.
What about weather conditions in Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet?
Weather conditions come and go in Myrtle Beach. The Captain may either cancel or delay a trip if weather conditions are unfavorable. Rain squalls usually move through quickly. If the Captain cancels the trip there is no charge. If you are able to reschedule we will try again next available time, or if you prefer, we will give you a full refund.
How long is the cruise?
The Sunset Cruise is 1 hour or 1.5 hours on the catamaran.
What is the minimum age?
Any age may board. Please keep in mind other guests if your child is under the age of 3. South Carolina State Law restricts the consumption of alcohol to ages 21 and over.
What type of boat do you have?
Our vessel is a 46’ Newton and 16 feet wide and is very stable in the water. There are upstairs and downstairs viewing areas, and guests may walk around or stand up if they choose to do so. We also have a 31' Seaquest Ideal for small group private charters. As well as a 38' sailing catamaran with a lot of room to walk around and relax.
Is the boat covered?
Yes, partially. The boat has a cabin and sheltered deck, as well as an open air deck that is open to the sun. While some guests prefer the sun, others like to be in a shaded area.
What about sea conditions?
This cruise stays in the calm waters of Murrells Inlet. This cruise does not go into the ocean.
What about sea sickness?
Guests may take Dramamine®, Bonine, or any over the counter or prescription seasickness medicine. Our watersports center does sell Dramamine® if guests are prone to seasickness they should consult their physician.
Is the boat handicap accessible?
Yes! Our 46' Newton can accommodate wheelchairs up to 29in x 37in, which can be loaded on the boat. We are the only Myrtle Beach boat on the south end that can do this. The 31' Seaquest and the 38' Catamaran are not handicap accessible. Please make sure to let our staff know that you will need the handicap accessible boat before making a reservation so that we can accommodate you.
What is included in this trip?
Free rum punch, white wine, beer, soft drinks, water, and a fruit & cheese tray.
Is smoking allowed on board?
No! We do not allow smoking on the boat.
Is the cruise narrated?
No. The Sunset Cruise is music, relaxation and enjoying the beauty and tranquility of the sunset.
What should I wear?
Casual summertime clothes. In the spring and fall we recommend a light jacket.
Can we tip the Captain?
Captains and their crew work for tips.
What is the season for the Sunset Cruise?
At Express Watersports our Sunset Cruises run from March to November.
Can we bring our own drinks?
Yes! Small coolers with your own beverages are allowed on the vessel
